Events > 2025 > OMEGA Hosts Celebrity Bob Run 2025

OMEGA WATCHESThis annual OMEGA tradition allows celebrity guests to experience the thrill of the oldest bobsleigh run in the world. Olympia in St. Moritz is the only run that is naturally refrigerated and offers a truly authentic taste of this historic winter sport.
For 2025, the Swiss watchmaker’s talented group included Friend of the Brand and actor, Diego Boneta; the Colombian singer, Manuel Turizo; US model, Jasmine Tookes; French content creator, Inoxtag; US actress, Shelley Hennig; the British actress and model, Wallis Day; Irish singer-songwriter, Cian Ducrot; and the UK actor and model, Ben Hardy.

Split into bob teams, they were given a fast-paced ride along the track’s many twists and turns, with each run measured with split-second precision by OMEGA.

OMEGA has a rich and historic connection with the sport of bobsleigh. As the Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Winter Games and the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation, the brand has been recording events as far back as 1936. Already this season, OMEGA has been positioned as the Official Timekeeper of the IBSF World Cup in locations across Europe, while in early 2026, the brand will measure each event at the Olympic Winter Games in Milano-Cortina.

VARIETY – Isabelle Fuhrman (“Orphan,” “Horizon: An American Saga”), Ben Hardy (“Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Unicorns”) and Scoot McNairy (“A Complete Unknown,” “Nightbitch”) are set to lead the cast of dystopian survival thriller “Die by Night.”

The feature is being launched by Protagonist Pictures ahead of the upcoming EFM in Berlin. Protagonist is handling international sales while UTA Independent Film Group is representing North American rights.

“Die by Night” is written and directed by Emmy nominee Rod Blackhurst (“Blood for Dust,” “Night Swim,” “Amanda Knox”), based on the prequel screenplay “The Chosen Few,” written by Blackhurst and J. Hunter Richardson.

Set in a post-apocalyptic world where long stretches of ‘Night’ plunge the world into chaos, the story sees creatures known as The Horde hunt in the dark. Runaway Lucia (Fuhrman) must find her way to The Wall where safety awaits, while an injured but determined Barry (Hardy) promises to get them there. But The Horde are not the only threat out there. The Clans — tribes of people whose survival and prosperity depends on selling and trading humans to gain strength in numbers — also stand in their way. As per the film’s description: “In this propulsive thriller playing out over the course of one night, the only way to survive the to see a new day is to trust each other and stay in the light until they make it to The Wall.”

“Die by Night” is produced by Witchcraft Motion Picture Company’s Noah Lang (“Blood for Dust,” “Sleeping Dogs”), Story in the Sky’s Ben Shields Catlin (“Sam & Kate,” “Stealing Pulp Fiction”), and executive produced by Dave Bishop and George Hamilton of Protagonist Pictures.

“This film was born from the fears and anxieties that came with becoming a father for the first time, the overwhelming desire to somehow protect my daughter from the dark forces that exist in the world — from the dangerous ideologies that fuel the self-righteous, and of the impossible choices we must make in the face of chaos,” said Blackhurst. “We’re pleased as punch to be partnering with Protagonist whose taste and prestige precedes them; they make the kinds of films I love and immediately understood the duality of ‘Die by Night’ as both a mad genre film and a story about us and the times we’re living in but depicted in the most fantastical ways.”

Creature design on the film is being spearheaded by Emmy Award-winning concept artist Vincent Proce, known for his design work on blockbuster projects including “It Chapter 2”, and both films in the “Smile” series.

“Die by Night promises to be a nail-biting, action-packed thriller with non-stop jump scares,” said Bishop. “Rod’s vision of a dark, dystopian, post-apocalyptic new world, combined with the terrifying hordes of creatures conceived by the industry’s top designers, will reach out and grab the audience not letting go until the credits roll.”

Added Shields Catlin and Lang, “‘Die by Night’ is the type of film we wished we could have seen at our neighborhood theatre when we were kids, begging our older brothers to sneak us in somehow — visceral, hardcore, relentless, and scary. The sort of film that we can’t show our kids just yet, but can’t wait until they are old enough that we can.”

Fuhrman is repped by UTA, Luber Roklin Entertainment, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman Wertheimer Mandelbaum Morris Bernstein Trattner Auerbach Hynick Jaime LeVine Sample & Klein. Hardy is repped by UTA, Untitled Entertainment, Independent Talent Group, and Tapestry London. McNairy is repped by UTA and The Group Management. Blackhurst is repped by UTA, Antonio D’Intino for SpectreVision Artists, and Victoria Cook and Ben Moskowitz for Frankfurt Kurnit Klein and Selz.

MR. PORTERStarting 2025 with an abundance of substance and style, we bring together five of the most exciting actors of the moment, shining the spotlight on their conversation-starting, zeitgeist-shaping projects. As they unite in an east London restaurant, we sit down with them to hear about their career highs, passion projects and future ambitions.
From soap-opera star to superhero, in just a few short years, Ben Hardy has established himself as one of the most versatile actors in the industry. Following a two-year stint on British soap EastEnders, his first film gig was X-Men: Apocalypse – alongside James MacAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence, no less. The sheer scale of the opportunity was not lost on him.

“I was incredibly nervous,” Hardy says. “I was sat down at lunch with Jennifer [Lawrence] and I just froze. She was so lovely, but I struggled to even have a conversation.”

Hollywood, however, was smitten. Hardy went on to win the coveted role of the Queen drummer Roger Taylor in the Oscar-winning Freddie Mercury biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody. The role, for which he prepared with a drumming lesson from Taylor himself, earned Hardy a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination and paved the way for top billing in Michael Bay’s action thriller 6 Underground alongside Ryan Reynolds.

Yet, it is his part in Unicorns, from The Swimmers director Sally El Hosaini, that Hardy feels has been both his most challenging and proudest on-screen moment to date. He gives a beautifully nuanced performance as Luke, a mechanic and single father, who begins to grapple with his sexuality when he kisses a drag performer (Jason Patel) on a night out.

Like many of the best-created characters, so much lies in what is left unsaid. “I don’t know many people like Luke,” Hardy says. “He is so stoic… playing him was a balancing act of emoting without doing much. To have to express through your eyes.”

As Unicorns promo winds down (the film is up for a handful of awards and Netflix has snapped it up for streaming), Hardy is also wrapping filming on his first horror film, the next installment of The Conjuring franchise.

Hardy earned his first production credit on Unicorns and getting behind the camera is one of his career goals. “I’ve always been a bit of a storyteller,” he says. “After years of working, you yearn for a bit more creative control.”
